Congratulations, you have obviously done your homework and made the sensible decision to invest in holiday ownership.  From here on it becomes really easy and Cape Escape will handle all aspects of the closing procedures for you.

Here is a guideline of the step-by-step process:
  1. Now that you have chosen your timeshare we will fax / email you the standard Cape  Escape Offer to Purchase, which you will complete and return to us with a copy of your ID or passport.
  2. The same documents will then be forwarded to the seller who will then sign his side of the documentation and return it to us together with his share certificate for transfer of ownership.
  3. Once both the buyer and the seller have completed documentation it then constitutes a legal and binding agreement. 
  4. Once all documentation has been completed we require the full purchase price to be deposited into our Trust account, where it will stay for the duration of the transfer.
  5. Cape Escape will then forward the completed documentation to the relevant shareblock transfer companies to effect transfer of ownership into the new buyers name. It generally takes 4-6 weeks for transfer of ownership to be completed.
  6. Once we have confirmation of the transfer of ownership, we pay the seller his proceeds from the resale and deem the transfer to be completed  - Now your fun begins!!
As Cape Escape deals with private purchasers and sellers, we are required by law to hold Fidelity Fund Certificates and carry Fidelity Fund Insurance. So you have the assurance that your money is safe in trust, pending transfer. Our EAB certificate number is 2005103188. We are also registered with The Timeshare Institute of South Africa.

The funds will remain in our trust account until the purchaser has received confirmation of  the resale from the developer or Cape Escape. Thereafter the funds, less our commission of  20% are
paid over to the seller when the transaction is complete.
